BACKSTORY
Bastian Contraire is a Tremere follower of Carna. Before turning into a Vampire, he had a best friend, since the age of 3, whose name is Pier. The two were inseparable and one day they discovered dark arts and Bastian immediately became fascinated by it and Pier followed suit. Bastian discovered a Cult and quickly became very knowledgeable in the dark arts. In his teenage years he was tutored and appraised for his intelligence and natural gifts in the arts while Pier grew jealous and tried to gain the favors of the Cult by doing some experiments on himself. In doing so he turned into a Ghoul and became addicted. He also became subjected by the will of another vampire. Meanwhile Bastian was turned into a vampire and found out about his friend. Unfortunately he couldn't turn him into a Vampire, but since Pier was his best friend, he still loved him and even though he was an addict now, he cared deeply for him. Bastian managed to get Pier out of the influence of the other vampire, but could not get him off of his addiction, so he decided it best the two would go separate ways.
Bastian is an esteemed member of the Cult of Carna, but he is a perfectionist and wants to do things his way.
The main objective of the cult is to preserve the integrity of the blood of future vampires and also to make existing Thin Bloods' blood equivalent to a regular vampire without having to kill other vampires.
